Mechelle's reason for running: Like many in our community, I chose Bulverde to plant roots and raise my family. I watched my children grow up on these streets and roads, cheered them on at local sporting events, and witnessed firsthand how our special community has evolved over decades. Through all of life's seasons, Bulverde has been my constant—the place I proudly call home.

My decision to run for mayor stems from a deep-seated belief that Bulverde's future should honor its cherished past while honoring residents' favorable day-to-day life. Having served six years on the City Council, I understand the delicate balance between progress and preservation. I know that what makes Bulverde special isn't just its rolling hills and scenic views, but the values and traditions, of community members which has defined it for generations.

As CEO of H.I.S. Centre and former Chief Executive of Bulverde Spring Branch EMS for a decade, I have demonstrated proven exceptional leadership that earned statewide recognition. My creation of the Wellness on Wheels (WOW) initiative and founding role with Acacia Medical, were both built for Bulverde residents immediate medical issues. These innovations showcased my solutions-based approach to community challenges and my commitment to leaving no neighbor behind.

My leadership philosophy is straightforward: listen, collaborate, and solve with transparency, fairness and integrity. I believe in governance where every voice matters, no single interest dominates any conversation or solution. From the CEO or developer, to the HEB bagger or Whataburger fry cook, everyone gets equal consideration for their wants and desires to enhance Bulverde.

As Mayor, I will forge an open and positive leadership of fairness and integrity. This is my home, community, and family's future... just as it is yours.
